L'Oreal Balm Pop: When Lips Are Thirsty, Pop Hits the Spot
Fifty'Oreal's been dropping balms, baby!
They recently unleashed 3 new lines of lip balms, each offering a different level of coverage. In that location are the Lotion Nudes for sheer color, the high coverage Sleeky Balm Crayons — your tickets to full-on pigment paradise — and the Lotion Pops (4 of the six available shades shown hither) for medium coverage.
Outset, that's a lot of lip balm…
Unless you lot spice them upwards with lip liner, lipstick or gloss, at some indicate, some of the shades get-go to await the same.
At to the lowest degree they practice on my pigmented lips, but since my oftentimes dry, flaky pout can apply all the moisture it tin can get, I can't help just brand crazy Jan Brady eyes whenever I spot a new lip lotion on a store shelf.
50'Oreal's new Balm Pops ($vii.99) are pretty cool… Polish and non-sticky, with a faint brown saccharide flavour and scent, they experience a lot like Benefit's $18 Tinted Lip Balms.
Compared to Benefit'southward Balms, though, these are much more pigmented and offer more coverage (like to the MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencils). The highly moisturizing formula lasts nigh ii hours for me, which is pretty typical for a balm…but non totally ideal.
I really like wearing these with blue or khaki smokey optics (like what I'm wearing in these pics), where I think the casual coverage and low-cal shine residual well with the dressed upwards eyes.
Price: $7.99 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now in six shades at drugstores, Ulta and online
MAKEUP AND Beauty BLOG RATING: A- (Good deal for the cost, but they're balms, so vesture time isn't one of their strengths.)
